2003 YZ 1 2 and 5!!!!!!

All dinged up and platics are shot....but hey why replace them if they aren't broke. Need to get radiator braces, other wise skid plat and a rocky MOuntain lowering link. Oh and of course cut down bars and bark busters. If you don't hit at least one tree per ride you are on quad trails!!! I would like to get some taller bars...maybe the Pastrane ones, either that or a riser.

Go with Pro Taper bars, they sit higher and they feel great. Get rid the Maier setup. Go with some Acerbis "Uniko" guards.

Yeah my father-in-law really like the Pro Taper TP bend...and he's 6'3".

What do you have against the maier busters? Only thing I don't have is hand gaurds, but I don't need those that bad that I wanna junk a pair of free bark busters that have worked so far?

Nice 300 Chaz!! Do you like the trials tire? I'm not a road bike guy but that's one of the nicest Harleys I've ever seen.
Here's mine:

The set I had mounted to the ends of my bars and to my triple tree, they did a good job of keep branches and whatnot off my hands, but took one spill and toasted them... there is just no play in them, they're mounted solid so something has to give. The Acerbis are extremely flexible and have seen the ground many times....

I wouldnt junk a good set either, and I didn't junk my maiers until I went down and toasted them, then I replaced them with the Acerbis.

Well I've been doing a hell of a job testing the durability and strength of my bars and busters!!!! And lots of dirt samples too. Most I've had to do is beat them back up off my clutch.

Xrider,

I've never ran the trials, but I know guys who swear by them....fact is if I had 18" rear I would run one. Especially out west on the rocks, etc you would like it. HAd a bud make the swap this year to trials and he was tractoring up rock fields while the knobbies were spinning for china.

some say the durability is not that great, but I know of a few guys who have 2 or 3 seasons on one tire.

This is mine new. It is used for a lot of single track most of the time. It is a little different now. A lot of guys i know up here use the trials tire. It is almost a unfair advantage unless it is wet. Enjoy !

ride with a few guys, who LOVE there KTM 300s.....bit much for me though. I don't mind the father-in-laws 200, minus the touchy front binders...I like slop on mine. And it's amazing how hard that 200 hits compared to the 125.
