Lets see some hawks

Hi all, I am thinking about a snow hawk. Lets see some pictures, and tell me how it performs. Do the fanners get hot, and do they have enough power for a bigger guy?

IMO, A snowhawk with a good rider will go anywhere you want it to and then some. It rides like a standup water craft crossed with a dirt bike. It is not a lake racer, I don't think I would want to go over 80 mph if it could. It is a boondockin, sidehillin, powder machine. If you commit yourself and spend at least 1 week on one relearning how to ride, because if you have been riding sleds you will have to change your ways, you won't go back to a conventional sled.

I have been riding sleds and motocross bikes my entire life, I figure why not mix the two together. Sounds fun to me. Is yours a 600?

yea, its a 600, tried to run a 800 out of 01 summit but It used way to much fuel so I put the 600 back in.

shock

The fancy shocks are walker evans they are available from fabcraft 406 777 1200 talk to mike. Still somewhat experimental the ones in the picture are 1 an one half inch bodies, were supposed to try out a 2 inch version soon. They are adjustable so you can change for different conditions. I believe that the 1 1/2 inch will work good for a lighter person 150-165lbs and the 2 inch might work better for a heavier person 165-220lbs????

I looked into Walker Evans, was told they only had ski shocks, looks like fabcraft modded the ski shocks with a resevoir?; The FX are also ski shocks; I'm a big guy, would need the larger for sure..

any one try fox floats?

The extra resevoirs are fabcrafts design , the give you around 50 lbs of quick adjustment in your nitrogen pressure so set nitrogen at say 250lbs you can go up to 275 or down to 225 depending on riding conditions that day at the twist of a lil adjustment bolt 50lbs makes a big diff in you ride . mikes getting me a 2in set so ill be able to test first snow this year

What kind of paint do you need. Are the cowls all the same as my 02 fan,it's like gas can material. guess you would have to be in some nice powder if you wer going to paint them. They don't fair to well sliding in crap snow conditions
