Let's hear your experience with AER forks

Buying a 19 Husky TX300 and going to use it as a snowbike. Interested to hear what people's experience is with running the AER fork in snow.
2 friends even with updated valving and so called fix the forks eventually let go... they had 18 airforks... I got an 18 this year doing the conversion even though my pocket is not happy.

Aer forks are the way to go! Lots of us in our group have been running them the last couple years with zero issus and we are hard on stuff. Send them to Brockstar Performance and he will re valve and update your seal if needed(18 or newer has new seal) no doubt i would pick aer fork over spring.
 
I've talked to Brockstar and Kreft and both seem to think the AER with the 18+ lip seal solves the issue. I don't have any first-hand experience yet though. I just upgraded to the new lip seal and piston in my 2017 AER's and am hopeful it'll hold. It looks like a much better design than the quad ring. As soon as they are back in stock I plan to install Brockstars bleeder valve so if it does fail in the field I can equalize the pressure and ride on. Some people say a trio helps but really it just doesn't get into that hard bottoming scenario that encourages seal failure. I'm running the air pro and 15wt fluid for now but may go with a trio if funds allow down the road. ?
 
While I've updated both my '17's to the newer style piston etc, I'm building my first bike / kit around an '18 KTM 450 SX.
Hoping between the already "updated" forks in it, and found a pretty decent deal on a lightly used Trio, that I won't have to do any fork work on this bike.
Gets expensive after a while hahaha?
 
I have seen the 18+ seal lose pressure in cold temperatures too. I built spring forks for my '17 rather than gambling on the updated seals. AER forks are definitely lighter.
 
Two of my buddies are going to run 300s with aer this year. We used the long neoprene seal savers with a set of grip heaters around the air side to keep the oil warm and hopefully prevent seal failure. One is a 19 300xc and the other is a 20 tx300i. They are running 190-200psi and "race or sport" settings on the clickers. They are significantly stiffer than my 18 yz450f with .54 springs and clickers all the way stiff. I'll try to remember to update everyone after some seat time.
 
I had the 16.5 AER with kreft mods and revalve control. worked perfect in all temps and my buddy owns the bike now and is still doing fine with that setup. I ran 215psi, damping clickers fully closed, added 20cc oil to both legs. Was fantastic. I could see adding some air to the outer chambers being good also (airpro or add schrader valves)
