Lethbrige Alberta?

Next Fall ill be moving to Lethbridge. Im from the East Coast and never been west of Quebec..so i have a feeling im in for a trip.
But i have a few questions about snow and snowmobiling.
-Im going to assuming Lethbridge get snow.. but what is the typical season?
-Does anybody snowmobile there or does everybody just head towards the mountians (rockies) and how far away is that?

re lethbridge area riding

You will be about 90 to 120 miles from some of the best riding once the snow gets here, just starting to get a base now, need alot more snow in the mountains but it will come, just had a foot of snow here at home but to cold to ride here, warmed up with about 50 mph winds, blew all of the snow to Quebec.Mountains are your best bet , about a dozen different locations to ride there. You will enjoy..

I live here...have for a long time...been riding since 1995. We get snow once and a while but we dont ride here....the odd alley ride but thats it. We get the chinook winds off the rockys so the snow can be gone in an afternoon or all blown away....like what just happened here the past few days. Good mtn riding is 2hrs away and we often go for day trips....if its really good we drive home and head back up the next day. You will definatly need a mtn sled...800 154 would work fine....we usually ride from dec thru the end of april...this year its a slow start but its coming. Last year was insane....the last week of jan fernie ski hill had 72 inches....in 6 days....some of the best I'd ever seen.....so it can happen....start saving for a new ride:D
