Let her breath ?

Anybody know why Cat only used the right side air intake on the 1100 Turbo ? Will it help or hurt to open the left side ? THANKS for any ideas.

I believe it was for noise reasons. My intake is louder with it opened up.

Agreed - we assumed it was to quiet things down but I would think it would make sense to open the left side as well.

I opened mine up also , and it changed the sound , but really, if you look at the design of the air filter, probably 30%-40% of the air is being pulled from under the hood , working on a snorkel setup for mine , pull only clean air from outside the hood , Cat came out with a decent platform , but, once again its up to the riders to make the sleds work

How is it pulling air from under the hood?

Definatley do not like the filter getting oil soaked on roll overs.

Cold air and oil

Dont know how much air is coming from under the hood....

Numerous ways to put cold air into motor. Most popular by far for us has been one thru the hood. Once you have done any cold air intake you have eliminated the factory filter and now have to deal with the oil line. We plumb it back into the intake and do the roll over kit. We do one on any cold air kit and even some that just want to stop the oil clogging up the factory filter.

A must IMO.
