Lest see some M series hood tie repairs

I had my HCR up side down this weekend and both of the nipples that you hook the rubber straps broke off. I have purchased extra sets of hood ties for the sides so my hood will not open in a role again. My question is what are people doing? I know you can run a sheet rock screw in but that is not what Im lookin for. I want a nice clean fix that will last. Lets here some ideas!!

yep

Both mine broke my first ride, so just put two more on the side. I think I'm going to just cut them out and put some better ones in there.

Buy some hood fasteners from about a 99-2000 sno pro. They are little j-hook kinda pieces of metal. You just drill a small line of little holes to run the hook thru and one hole to rivet it on. Works with your existing straps.

I broke mine off too this year in Cooke. I just drilled a hole and put a screw in it with a large backing washer on the inside. The rubber hold down just latches on that. Looks pretty bad until I latch it, then you can't see it.
It will work for the rest of the year then I will fix it right...or get a different hood.

try a 3M command hook they are sticky so they might not work but worth a try sold at most local hardware stores
