Not sure what you are looking for in terms or research or switching but I had similar questions about oil, what's good, price, requirements, etc.
Here's my post in Mountain Powder

I was sick and tired of paying $40 + a gallon for oil. When I did research on what oils riders were using or recommending. I was surprised how many of these oils say they "meet and exceed TCW3, ISO-L-EGB and JASO FB, etc." but they ARE NOT certified.
When you ask riders and most retailers if it is certified by any of the above noted associations they don't know. Either did I.
Here is a great one page "What's What" of 2 stroke snowmobile oil specifications:

That said I found a certified list from JASO (Japanese Automobile Standards Organization) for which oils meet their demanding testing requirements.

I am switching from Arctic Cat APV to Mystic JT-4 Synthetic which is certified JASO-FD (highest rating and equivalent to ISO-L-EGD)
Here is the Mystik JT-4 synthetic spec sheet:

The shocking thing is you can find Mystik JT-4 as low as $21.99 a gallon like here: I have seen it as low as $19.99 a gallon also.

PM me with anything you find. Just like sled brand I am not tied to any one thing. If it's good, priced right and functional I'm buying.
Cheers
