Left hand throttle caused issue

I had installed a Goldfinger left-hand throttle assembly, which I like and plan to keep using.
But recently the sled would miss and sometimes die.
After looking everywhere, I noticed it seemed to happen more when throttle first applied. It appeared that when pressing (right) throttle the pivot pin only moved at the top, unlike top and bottom equally before left hand installation.
Maybe it's installed incorrectly, but I unplugged the kill/throttle safety wires and problem went away.

After reading about runaway sleds from sticking throttles, I plan on installing a tether switch, which I have left from my drag-racing days.

Nothing against Goldfinger, just thought I'd mention this in case someone may benefit from what I found.

Loosen the bolt going through the throttle pivot as much as you can, it will allow it to move more freely.

Thanks Coyote, where is Carson?
I'm near Sioux City, Iowa.

I had tried changing pivot bolt tightness, with no luck.
It seems the bottom of the pivot bolt (supplied by Goldfinger) is held in one place by the cable itself, not allowing it to move easily like the top of the bolt.
It may be some adjustment I need to correct, but so far I've not seen how, although I've not called Goldfinger about it.

Felt relief after seeing that unplugging kill wires made problem go away......

I'm down by council bluffs. Maybe your cable housing is a little too long, pushing lever outwards. The only problem like yours I have seen on our sleds is if some snow gets frozen behind lever it will cause your symptoms.

There should not be anything 'holding' the throttle in any way other than the bolt attaching the adapter plate under the throttle.

Check throttle block for WEAR. The heavy throttle pull wears the block into
an oval and reset all your adjustments.
Have seen some parts ( plate screw ) installed that interfere with plastic??

Maybe there is another thread for this, but since this is actually a recent thread, I thought I'd ask:

Is the Goldfinger the best left handed throttle out there today? (Regardless of price.)

(I have a 2006 Polaris 600HO Carbd Switchback 144 if that matters at all.)
