LED Tail Light

Looking to clean up my tail light situation on my '13 Pro so I bought a Skinz LED tail light (kit #TLED100) that adapts to the Polaris CFI wiring. This kit comes with a 3 prong trailer style plug that is a lot bigger and more bulky than I had expected. Has anyone else bought this kit and came up with a way to clean it up or anyone have a picture of their LED Tail Light install? Thanks!

Chad

I used an SLP led light, cut my stock plug off of my tail light to plug the new light into the harness.

Glad I spent the extra money for the "CFI adapter" from Skinz. Completely different plugs, so looks like I'll be cutting it off and not using it anyways. I have contacted Skinz on this issue, waiting to hear back.

I used one of those on my wifes 09 and plugged it in up in front of the gas tank, but again not sure its needed on the Pro.
please let us know because I want to put an aftermarket light on my Pro 13

The stock light is an LED on ALL PRO RMK's 2011 through present... You do not need the adapter for a replacement LED to work...

The current sleds power the tail/stop light with DC .. The PREVIOUS Dragon CFi's used AC power for a standard incandescent light bulb style taillight which needed a converter to make it work.

Brown - Ground
Red - Tail light
Orange/Green - Stop

The reason NOT to use this to power anything else is that it runs off of the ECU power supply/VRR.

The taillight pulls less than 0.5 amps with the brake & Running on.

So, IMO (strongly), don't use it as a power supply for anything else unless you are ok with risking the reliability of the sled.
