LED Light bar install on protapers

Hey!!!

I would love to install an LED bar on my Pro. Question im trying to figure is how to do it with the stock Protaper bars? I know most mount to the handlebar clamp but with all the rise the Protapers have, it wont be up high enough. The crossbar looks like as good a place as any though.

Just wondering if someone has done this before and might save me from doing one of my classic dumb ideas.

Mine is mounted to the cross bar. I welded a piece to the cross bar and then bolted the light to that.

I'm thinking that same light and their heated grips / thumb warmer / switch setup that they are discussing in the snow bike section currently. I'm not running Pro-Tapers so I'm no help there.

Post up how you like the Penetrator (630?) when you get a chance to use it.

Still think at least a good helmet mounted LED Flashlight would be good for the dark side hills at night when the handle bar mounted one will be shining off into the darkness away from you need to be looking. Just my 2 cents

I have used the light last season and it's as bright if not brighter then the factory headlight.
I have never been a big fan of LEDS I always preferred h.i.ds but this light is impressive.
