Hi just wondering if any one knows how to hook up a led brake light to a 900 rmk. My stock light broke and Iv'e hooked up a yamaha apex led light to the rear 3 wires but can only get one function going at once ie: tail light or brake but not both.

niko.

If you want to just wire up an LED with off the shelf parts, check out DiggDawgs post in the HOW TO thread, he put a very good schematic right there of how to do it..... There's also a couple other threads in there on this topic.

Actually, here is the post itself

I made this wire diagram to help guys wire up their own led tail lights.

the relay i used is a automotive mini relay borg warner or BWD part number R4823 you can get them from most parts stores. they can cross that number to a number they carry. an application to use would be horn relay on a 2001 dodge dakota

i should have taken pics as i was doing it but i siliconed mine all up after i was done to prevent water intrusion. I also soldered all of my connections, even to the relay and used heat shrink to protect them.
