Lectron carb icing

Hey guys, planning on buying a 38mm lectron for my 14' Ktm 300xc/Timbersled st bike. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with that combo, I have been told it works well. I have been using the Ktm hard parts electric carb heater with a carb insulating jacket and totally sealed off air box and have had no problems with icing, has anyone tried running the lectron without an avid carb heater does it ice up faster than a standard carb!?

My Lectron was terrible for icing up and throttle freezing wide open also not running right compared to other guys running FCR carbs. I just installed avid carb heater also think a thermostat is important.

yup ive had mine freeze wide open. i leave my heat on any time in powder type snow now.

they ice up just as easy as any other carb, they just compensate more for altitude.

those ktm electric heaters are junk. dont waste your time. gotta use engine heat somehow.
