Sounds like I.P. is trail only, anyone know if somewhere like preston or maybe 8 mile may have better conditions to where I could hop off the trail and not worry about tearing things up? Let me know if you've been somewhere not too far from Idaho Falls (much farther than these places) that's got decent snow....thanks!!!!

preston, soda, logan, they're all about the same right now. Even Togwotee is a little thin. I guess you can go to Cooke City.

Like bannockrider said I found this snow right on the UT/ID border, just look at N. facing hills that are around 8500ft+ and there some good snow but you still need to be careful. And remember take pics so we can see em!!!
