Time for a new mattress... err. wife says so. Anyways, started looking at the fancy latex mattresses and they look pretty interesting.

Anyone have one? What do you guys think?

the big rubbers i need are big enough to slip over a king size mattress..its a much cheaper way to go to see if ya like the latex..if ya can;t find the big ones in your parts i will send ya one..

they are a decent way to go. there was a lot of latex mattresses in the 50's and they went out of vogue. they are back in now. but is this an all latex matt or just a layer of latex? what is the brand?

I guess the good ones are an all latex mattress. Stiff layer on the bottom, soft layer on the top. Not looking at one specific brand.. Just doing some mattress research and I had never heard of these.

As to the jokes, the setup was much better than what got delivered. Where is your A-game guys?

Why a latex mattress? Got a bed wetting problem? I am sure Depends at night would be much cheaper.

Now thats some "A" material... ha ha.

Latex mattresses are supposed to be better than memory foam, as they are supposed to be much cooler and don't hold the heat in while also providing more support.

You know I had to. :face-icon-small-ton I've never heard of Latex mattress. We have a select comfort mattress. If your concerned about heat, that sucker is always cold cause the air in it is room temp. We have a 2 zone heated blanket for winter. and the beauty is both sides can be adjusted to what suits you

No, I don't want to take the chance of getting rejected... lol

Now that is what I would call A+ material!

I am also looking for a new mattress set. Oh ya, they all have the latest, greatest thing there is. Yes latex is good for this, gel is good for that, but my inter spring has double special springs, with the memory foam filled pillow top. After much searching at the local stores, and studying on line, I have figured out that the mattress sales folks make a car sales person, a lawyer, a realtor, and a minister seem like honest folks. Good luck to you Ruffy!

I've had a Latex mattress since 2007, I love it. I'm a big guy and there are no troughs in it yet. Mine has a 20 yr warranty too, that was the big seller for me.
I purchased mine from the Reno Mattress factory, it's a mom & pop outfit that's been around since 1908. No box springs either just a platform. Nicest bed I have ever slept on.

You want some real sleep get a Select Comfort and don't even waste your time with the other mattresses. Damn I wasted some cash on worthless mattresses before buying a select number airbed.

They are fine, I tried one for a week, but if you get a king it's a double trough with a big ridge in the middle. Not very comfortable for me.
