latest thoughts on best drive system for turbo pro

Somewhere between too dumb to quit and flat earth
chain case? belt drive? CMX drive? Drop roll? best drivers for stock powder track?

What i need is the most efficient, maintenance free, indestructible, problem free drive system. i want to install it once. go for a ride, check it. Then it will be beat on all year. Don't want to talk chassis strength, don't care about 174x3 tracks. No turbo talk. What would you build with no expense spared to have the best there is to offer for the 2014 season.

The best with no expense? CMX for sure..

I need it to also be able to take hard hits and abuse under power. Large jumps, hard landings, kitting stumps/rocks, etc. it happens. Don't like having to replace expensive components. I am curious as to how the belt drivs are holding up under abuse vs the assault chain case. If i were to build the ultimate chain case what would be needed?

Also, thinking of running a factory belt drive/cmx belt drive with a slipper driver of some kind. They used them in some of the factory race sleds (IQR). That way it will keep from shocking the system on sudden loads. Kind of how a crank dampener works on a diesel.

Just run the chaincase. Honestly don't think you are gaining enough with a belt drive to be worth the reliability issues. Cant really speak to CMX since I havent tried one but I still feel if you are looking for most reliable and durable the stock chain case is the most proven.

C3. I'm putting one on my 1100t which weighs a LOT more than a Pro and makes way more torque than any 2 stroke turbo ever will. Haven't run it yet so I'm just betting on their reputation. Pulleys are billet and CNC machined(like the 14 is supposed to be), belt is supposed to be stronger and it has a tensioner that get the belt to grab way more teeth.

I'd say cmx. Brake on the drive shaft, custom drive shaft, jack shaft, backer plate tensioner on the inside custom drivers. The bearings in it are made to run without oil and that belt can take a lot more than your chain. You really do get a lot with their kit and quality parts that they stand behind. They have been making them the longest, have the most r&d time on it and go through great lengths to make sure it's perfect.

That being said I have a c3 on the way, but I have a '11 drive shaft with Avids and the Polaris light weight jack shaft already. I just couldn't swing $2500. If I could a CMXDS would be on the way.
