Latest Greenwater Conditions? (5-16-08)

I was up on monday

The riding was great. There was still about 8 ft of snow at the cabin. The parking was about 1/2 mile from the main lot. Im sure it will be higher by now but there is definately snow up there. The trails were awesome, lots of snow still. ..... I mean no snow....uh.... dont go !!!!! oopppss the secrets out now.

If no one reports back by Thursday, I will ride my motorbike up to see where the snow line is. I actually hope it is near Mikes Rock area to cut off a couple miles of bumps.

I need to have a good road report because I may take the clan up for a snow picnic on memorial day but won't go if there are miles of whoops or too much gravel after having to stop and unload.

We need specific locations:

Drive past the first Nachees Trail climb on the left?
Take the back way/left before the south slope dugway?
Past the upper gravel pit?
Mikes Rock area?
.....

I'd go this weekend if someone wants to pick me up on there way? I am just off 410 on your way there

Snow level is @ Mikes Rock. For those that don't know where that is, it is 3.1 miles past the main snopark where the pavement ends. There were some teenagers in trucks and they could not make it past there. Snow was soupy and it was raining.

Tested out my bike gear. Did not get wet except my boots leaked.

Snow is also just a few tenths of a mile up 7065.

Surprised how fast it melted, but I may do a ride again now that the gravel riding will be gone and there is 3.1 miles less bumps.
