I hiked up to King Bowl between Stampede Pass and Snoqualmie Pass, last Sunday. I found that there had been a massive avy that sheered off quite a bunch of large fir trees. Still quite a bit of snow out in the open, so I figure it must have packed in pretty good after the avy. There are several large trees (30" diameter) that are now in the meadow, as well as across the road.
Glad I wasn't there in the meadow, during the carnage.
