Larry cable guy...50,000 attended!

Went to a record attendance comedy club Saturday night with Larry as the headliner. The guy is a local resident here in Nebraska and did a show in the Husker stadium (Memorial for locals) SOLD tickets for 4 bux a piece. Man did he pack them in. Comedy central will air it. Great show, I doo feel bad for the stunt sky diver that they tried to mislead the crowd into thinking it was Larrys grand entrance. I was thinking WTF...wheres this guy going to land the field is covered with chairs. Then he comes in and plows first tier of stadium rail!!! Show must go on...they drug him off behind scenes then seen the stretcher leaving. (OUCH) Anyway, Larry did the show and let half the ticket sales go back to the University. Larry guy is some funny chit.. and has some real feet on the ground ideals.

Couple highlights,

-"I got to meet Hillary Clinton..........at the urinal, I think hers was bigger than mine"

-"I was down in Mexico last week doin a show........well actually Huston"

-"I was madder than a midget with a yo yo"

anyway nice to see a sort of celebrity that can act like everybody else around here and be as humble. If you get a chance to support him I would reccomend.

I gotta admit some of his stuff doesn't get me going(git r done is real old, i think fans wrecked it for me) but damn he does have soem good one liners.

No but he made it clear why he drives a FORD now rather than a Dodge......bailout money. but he said you had to be careful with statements like that round here cause gun fight would follow shortly.

..Saw him in Mesquite, NV a couplw years back. Laughed so hard I couldn't drink my beer.
Ironic part? The dewd that opened the show for him was just as funny. wish I could remember his name

man I was at the show and was totally disappointed. I was up pretty high, but the speakers were so loud and the interference was so bad that I could barely understand a word that was said! That and he decided to lay his accent on stronger that day... I ended up leaving early... A lot of his material was either borrowed or a repeat... the hilary clinton one, for example... definately have heard that one a few times... still hilarious though...

and yeah, 50,000 is NUTS!
