Laramie trip pics/video from this weekend

Got back late last night. A few things. Centenial (Medicine Bow Park) had some of the most well groomed, well marked trail system to the most diverse and extensive off trail riding, hill climbing, boondocking I have ever seen!
We were in 6.22222222233344111' of fresh powder all afternoon. Mid season conditions in what they considered "the western" part of the range. The widowmaker was scary looking! Someone actually got stuck half way up.
I have a few pics to share, a crappy video as well. AVA took a bunch of video and hopefully can get them on here in a bit.
Enjoy.

FYI, with no substantial snow forecasted for Utah in the next 10-14 days. I am going back in two Wks!

I'll try to post some video later this evening of the ride yesterday. My daughter turns 16 today so we have the afternoon booked with those festivities.

January 10th is a great day for a birthday. I just noticed my age in my profile changed:rolleyes: 35 and I'm still acting like a kid giggling in the pow whenever I get a chance:D

Here are some screen captures I took from my video footage. The video is still compiling so I'll post it later.

Final shot to end the day and a great weekend (despite the numerous problems and carnage)

So you bagging the DooTalk ride for Laramie? Wish i could have gone. Had a good ride yesterday with Marty.

The Dootalk ride I believe is still slated for Bear Lake. If we don't get some substantial snow, it's not worth going locally. Been riding that whole area since the season began. It needs snow. I believe we will have a contingent going wherever the snow lands! I haven't been following it though, I would f/u with JDU for addl info.
BTW, I need to send you some $$ for those boards. They are badazz Rich!

We were in 6-8' of fresh powder all afternoon. Mid season conditions in what they considered "the western" part of the range. The widowmaker was scary looking! Someone actually got stuck half way up.

So, do you have any picts or vids of the 6-8' of fresh powder you rode in?

Sacrasm doesnt come through well in text....

Well, sweetxpbeatch is about 6' tall and in the first pic you can only see his head and he isnt standing on the ground either so I'd say his depth quotes are spot on. It wasnt all "fresh" powder but it was extremely deep in the trees and was excellent riding....much better than we have seen in Utah and you didnt have to worry about hitting landmines either.
I may be reading your post wrong but you sound pretty sarcastic. It is just jealously that we were out riding in great snow?

Ava, that last pull up top was off the HOOOK! Ask Frisco about the pull. We had to roll his sled over to get him out of 6-8' of pow pow. I am still impressed with that region. I didn't realize it was such a diverse area. That doesn't refer to all of hatchers alternative friends in that area either....hahah haha

Very impressed with Laramie!

you guys need to stay in Utah and out of my playground :D

Considering moving our annual early December ride to Laramie. yeah, it was that good. I guess I had never seen such an expansive area before.
We were fortunate to be with a great group. 8 of us in total. Rode all "western" areas.
It's a solid 5.5hr drive from N. Utah, but wow. I ran out of fuel (first for me)
