Lake Ann...??

Has anyone ridden the Lake Ann/Salmon La SAc area yet? I'm suprised I havent seen any posts on here about it. Some buddies and I were thinking of taking a trip over there next week and were curious about the conditions. Any input would be great.

If you like riding rocks, then go there. If your track is missing paddles already, then go there.

I was up riding Gallagher (via Salmon la Sac) with some new friends last Thurs. A few guys I met coming out of Gallager headed up the Lake Ann single track and said they made it most of the way in. As with Gallagher, still needs a few more feet to fill in holes and create more permanent snow bridges.

Thanks for the input. This recent storm should have made it quite a bit better. 5 of us are going up there wednesday if anyone wants to join pm me. Should be a good day.

My buddy and I went and tried to get up to gallagher last tues and got stuck at one of the last creek crossings. There was a pair of guys who had gotten across but we were not about to try and hop over the creek haha

We headed up towards what i think is the van epps area (not sure on that) after getting turned around and made first tracks all the way up. The creeks were still not filled in at all and it made for a pretty tricky ride up. We stopped 2-3 times to tweak the crossing so they were more easily passable.

Def still needs some more snow up there though

Rode Gallagher today, all creek crossings are fine and there is great coverage up there, especially in the tree areas. The snow was deep and much better in the trees than on the exposed areas. It was snowing off and on throughout the day. Looks great up there, especially for December.

Was a great ride today with the exception of it taking 2 hours to go 4 miles on I-90 due to a semi tanker trailer rollover on the way home.

I don't recall a rediculous amount of orange, IIRC they were on Polaris'. They passed us on the trail on the way back to the lot when my buddys belt exploded haha so we were slightly pre-occupied

I rode last week Wed. Dec. 30th near there and ran into some boys who rode Lake Ann & Van Epps. They said great snow, but not enough yet and a few A-Arms on the hill, few rocks exposed
