Lady in distress......

I ride a '99 Summit X 670 with a 144" track with SLP powder pros. When running in deep powder I feel my rails start to drag.... Any suggestions on how to increase my travel in the rear suspension?:confused:

Do you mean floorboards? Did you just use rail ext. when you went from 136 to 144. Or, did you move the skid back and use shorter ext.? Since you have the longer drop brackets, did you drop the front mounting point too. But, one thing that you can do is soften up your front shock to let it climb up on the snow better.

My husband used a hole saw...and cut two holes on each row on my track on my RMK 900...took about an hour. Made a HUGE difference. Felt more like floating instead of plowing.

Or do you mean rails, as in the running boards? bigger track adds more floatation, will lift the sled up out and on top of the snow, wow what a difference I went from a Arctic Cat 580 136x1.75 to a 97 Summit 670x motor which I installed a 153x15x2.25 and will never own a smaller track again, night a day. like mentioned above can drop the rear suspension down as long as it don`t lift the front of the suspension up to much. porting the track does work well. Good Luck.

You can buy rail extensions as a kit, I have a 98' 670 Summit X that has been drop and rolled to Put the 151x16x2 on and thats as big of track as i would go, it is ideal for a weekend warrior

You can use your 136 rails. Set the rear suspension back 3.75" then use your 144 rail ext. That would get you super close for a 153. You might have to use a big wheel kit to make up a little.
