Labor Rates!?!?!

Got charged $90.00 to remove 2.52" pitch combo drivers and press on new 3" pitch drivers. I try to support my local shop and buy all OEM parts from them, but since they didn't carry combo drivers I purchased them from Avid. I have no problem paying for labor, but $90.00 seems excessive...

K, next time I might be better off just buying a used shop press for $150.00, guess I should have read the work order a little closer.

Upgrade

When we do it we find its easier and about as cheap just to buy new. It can some times be a 2 hour job.

Most shops are 75-100 an hour that's the only thing that keeps dealers open it sure not from selling new units at a 1000 loss all day long.

Did you just take in the shaft and drivers? Or did you take the sled in?

Flat Rate

The shop probably has a $90.00 Shop Rate or Flat Rate fee. they more than likely charged you for 1 hr. Thats not out of line.
