Have any of you guys riddin from June to September in Revy Area?? When is the snow gone. I've been in May and April and there is still insane snow.. I'd love to go in June, sweet way to get a fix before it's all gone..

Rode Boulder middle of June about ten years ago. 18 holes in the morning and sledding in shorts all afternoon. Take a rain suit with you though, cuz the weather can turn bad in a hurry up there.

The snow is still there in June, a lot of the time the problem is just getting to it. Any north facing stuff still may have lots but if you have to run on a south facing slope for a couple of clicks there will be gravel. Also areas that have no elevation gain can melt reeeeeally fast in the afternoon, leaving you a couple of clicks of dirt at the end of your ride. Latest I have ridden in the Kootenays was June 20. but we just did it to say we did it. The snow was terrible, wet, sloppy and sinkholes into it everywhere. Third week of May is my cut off point now, still can ride in a t-shirt on a good day, and most snow is still decent up to then. I'd be interested in a late May run though if you are going..... :)

if you want to ride in the summer stewart is the place well into july-aug most years,last year they were riding from sea level into june.:D:beer;

I rode Baldface near Nelson the last weekend of may and called it quits. Easily another few weeks left up there at the time, but it was already boating season so the sled went in storage. It was nice snow still and lots of it....hard/slushy of course, but still MANY feet of coverage in the alpine. Do NOT bring a trailer tho, and be ready to do a little dirt-mobiling.

We always head out after the crop is in... end of may start of june, Camp half way up the mtn. and a truck with a deck to run the sleds to the snow. for several years we've rode caribou basin this year we're going to try 51 :D:D:beer;

I had a great birthday last yr on 7/9/07 and rode the pemberton ice caps, I posted pics at the time. Been saying I wanted to do this for yrs, last yr was the yr. ---Ken

Rode Bolder last May 31/June 1. Shorts and sandles both days. It was 25C and still 13 ft of snow in spots (probed it a couple of times). There were a couple of open ponds to cross to cool ya down. Drive your truck in till you get it stuck then unload, your truck will be high and dry when you come out.
