I just got home from the game. Wow, I forgot how expensive it is to eat there. 3 hot dogs, 2 root beers and 1 Bud Light was $36.

$36 will just about fill up the sled.

So you really think with the addition of Farve that the Vikings will improve on their 10-6 record from last season??? Farve is a distraction and will cost the Vikings the playoffs this year... Am I the only one who thinks Brett should have hung up his cleats several years ago? What a poser... has been...
Any team would be better off without Farve... IMO...
It's not a black eye on Brett, but a black eye on the NFL, when Brett came into the league there were quarterbacks like Montana, Steve Young, Phil Simms, Randall Cunningham and John Elway in the league, now you've got guys like Matt Cassell, Jamarcus Russell and Tavarus Jackson signing HUGE contracts. The skill level at the QB position sux and it's not Brett's fault that there are teams fighting for a guy that should be out of the league like he was the second coming.
I agree that the level of QBs now days is not up to snuff in past years compared to the contracts they sign... Matter of fact in any sport it seems the players feel they deserve more... greed sums it up... but what can you do when the team/owners are willing to shell out the money... I guess the good old days of true sports has gone, replaced with the days of being buisnesses...
Now Farve was a great QB for Greenbay, but it seems very apparent his heart and mind are not in the game any more, let a lone his body... MJ started this trend of greats retiring and then trying to come back... egos are just too big now days... I guess I feel it tarnishes the game... IMO...
If I had someone offer me the crazy money that the Jets and Vikings had offered, there is NO WAY IN HE!! that I would turn it down and find it hard to believe that there is anyone out there that would.
That is because like most of us you do not have that type of money... (do not take offense to this... as I assume you are not a multi-millionaire, nor am I or most of those on this forum).
Brett has more money than he could reasonably spend... what does he need to prove? He says it is not about the money... so what is it about???
Favre will do OK to start, but, when crunch time comes he will throw
critical int's that will cost team games....In reality, this guy won 1 SB,
he is very durable and because of that and the fact that he audibled
to passes way too much in GB, gave him good stat's....I have never thought he was all that great.....

go 4-12 this year.....I see their 2 decent players (Marshall this year, Clady
soon after) bailing.....

BUT, it is about the money, that AND these guys have a competitive spirit that you and I cannot understand. Just like Jordan nothing excites this guy like competition, it's like a drug, it's like a day in over the hood powder that you can't get stuck in and never ends and after that feeling there is nothing that makes them feel like that. Favre and MJ have earned a crazy amount of money but just like you and I they live within their means and their lifestyles are such that they just don't get by without earning near what they do playing. You and I could get by on getting a couple of million and then not needing any more, these guys spend that kind of money like nothing, they buy $10,000 suits and $5,000 handmade shoes and their wives buy more stuff as well, it's a different world that most of us will never understand or think about. Like Patrick Ewing said a few years ago, "I makes lots of money cause I spends lots of money".

put him at running back or tight end. he's an athlete, just not a qb. doesn't have the fundamentals to play QB.
