A buddy just bought his kid an '04 65 sx and it had a funny whistle sound when it warmed up. He tore into it and found a couple things, the water pump impeller was in there really loose, and someone had put the wrong screw in for the drain screw, which was coming in contact with the impeller. Could either of these porblems be the cause of this noise?
And as a result of the work he is doing he is replacing most of the gaskets and checking out the top end (the guy he bought it from is notorious for half-a$$ing things). So does anyone know what the piston ring gap is supposed to be?
Thanks in advance
