KTM Husky Husaberg

What is the difference between the four 500 models for 2014?
The Husaberg is just a KTM right? and the Husky is a Husaberg right? so therefore all three are the same, right? Maybe i am missing something.

how about the KTM
500 ECX and the 500 XC-W, mirrors and blinkers?

Yup, they are all basically the same.. Except the Husaberg compared to the KTM has a plastic subframe, and the Berg gets better forks than the KTM, and the Berg gets no kick starter, while some of the KTM's did. Then Husky basically going to be a berg. Same bore, same stroke, same ignition. MAYBE some small plastic changes, usually it's the SX of the next year KTM on the Bergs.

I've never liked Husky's but now they aren't bad anymore. Bad being they used to suffer horribly from parts pricing, aftermarket support, and general quality.

I've ridden a KTM 500 XCW and a Berg 501 back to back, and as simelar as they are on paper, it truly is amazing on dirt how confidence inspiring that 4CS fork is on the berg. If I had to do it over, I'd pick the berg simply for the handling over the KTM. Although if it's a dedicated snow bike, it's a mute point. The open KTM forks are super easy to work on.

the husaberg became the husqvarna(and is still basically a ktm).. pretty sure there isnt gonna be husabergs for 2015

Yes, there will be a Husaberg for 2015. It will be called a Husky. ha! seriously. The bike is a husaberg as they have always been, just the Husky name. Crazy confusing but it will all come out in the wash...
