KTM 450SX handwarmers

Last season was my first year on the snowbike. I did all kinds of mods to my KTM which has the high output stator. By the end it I got kinda lazy and decided to just try the Dumbo ears instead of the bar warmers. Turns out they worked awesome, granted they look Dorky as hell but they do keep your hands warm and are a really simple cheap solution which you can pull off in like 1 minute. Just something to consider as another option.

Good info thanks

I would run them off a relay connected to the battery. we have done this on numerous other battery only bikes and it works well.

The stater has to put enough supply regardless of a battery.hand warmers take lots a juice,,

Now the coolant coils would be the ultimate set up but if you want to do it yourself you just put o ringed aluminum plugs in the end of your bars and pipe tap right before your hand grips. Youll need someone to machine the aluminum plugs so that's where it could get expensive. 60-100 bucks I would assume for two plugs.

I had to cork my Pro-Taper bars on my IQ. Once that was done I can barely run the heaters on high. Since the bars are higher than my windshield the hands get a lot of wind. I would think that if you could only use a low-mid heat electric element, you could really force the heat into the grips with the corking method. Check the IQ section for my photos, I'm in Whistler on a different computer right now or I would repost.
