I've built a couple of 520's now with Brewster and they are the ticket. I've run everything including a 300xc, big bore, then 520 with nitrous, and another build with 520 turbo.
Then last winter I decided to go back to naturally aspirated with the big bore, high compression piston and head ported / polished. Couldn't be happier. It just works.
It is important to run the right fuel if you decide to go with the high compression piston. And frankly, I wouldn't bother with the big bore unless you also do the high comp piston.
I only run Av Gas. or you can run a 50/50 mix of premium / race or premium / av gas.

Why did you decide to go back to naturally aspirated?
