You would have to PAY me, to ride one. Clutching, shifting, all the time, narrow powerband to try and stay in. And spend $2000 in eng mods for more top end HP and an even narrower powerband. Buttttttt, I've never rode one on snow, and love my Beta 300 in dirt.
Would it make a fun snow bike? Yes. Is it a ideal? No. Do you want to tear up your awesome summer bike to make a mediocre snow bike?
300 works great as a snowbike. Its my preferred bike, and I own a 450sxf. currently using the 450sxf and cant wait to get back on the 300 to see if I still like as much. I don't like the noise of a uncorked 450 personally and the power dif is marginal. Also the 300 feels 100 lbs lighter in my opinion. XCW gearbox is not ideal though.
