So this is the deal... I can get an Long track Timbersled.... Do you guys think my 300 will push it enough so I can decide how much I will like it... If all goes well I will buy a second bigger bore bike next year... Just don't want to buy both at the same time and only want to buy a track once.... Living in Utah the snow is pretty light so I think the lt is the way to go...

the sx head and ignition will put it almost even with the 450mx bikes so pushing a LT will be no problem. put red PV spring in and back the pv tension bolt back to flush. will hit hard and pull great . drill and tap the carb for the ktm heater element and you'll be set

So I already have a Lectron carb... Don't think I can heat it and already run the red spring backed all the way out in the summer so I should be set... I don't think the apt carbs are having freezing issues....

ive heard the apt carb have issues with the slide freezing/sticking. but they can be drilled for the heater element too. not sure about the lectron

Not long , Maybe 1 hour of actual riding , main jet was 165 and needs to be 160 , so between the cold and the rich factor it ran crapy , but every now and again it would open up and get moving really good

Installed carb heater dropped to a 160 main and blocked all the snow from getting to the carb , she was singing pretty good today , still burbling a bit in the mid range , might change the clip hight or try a 162 main , or maybe that 400$ carb a bought will show up .?!$&(;

Seems to turn the LT no problem but I think the xcW trany hurts the gearing, revs out 2nd easy and dosnt like to pull 3rd on most of the hills

She is way lighter than the 4T but Dunno if the 2 stroke can beat the snap and easy riding FI 4T but I'll try and tune her for a while longer.

what gearing are you running in the kit with the Lt?
as for jetting on carb im at 162 main 3rd clip runs good enough tell the ups man shows up with the apt:face-icon-small-dis
 
12-17 20-20 , yea I Gota check my clip hight . What elevation are you ?

how far away are you from pull n 3rd climbing in the steep ? with the st im looking for 4th most the time sooo id thank you are not far off? maybe the xcw trans is were we are off at??
16-17 in the kit will give you 1/2 inch less roll out.maybe that will help.
have you tried 17 20 ?
 
Tried 17-20 was way to low , 16-17 might be better or 14-16 20-20

14-16-20-20 would be going the wrong way ..that would be like 17 inch of roll out. Im going to run 12-17-16-17 as soon as the I get the 137 or im going to have a 19 tooth made which will be the same

14-16 -20-20 would give me a higher 1st and 2nd which us what I want cause right now I zip through 1st and then I'm bouncing off 2nd in no time , but can't pull third . If it works I'll be able to clutch more in 1st for slow technical stuff and then have a faster 2nd for hills .

Might end up to high but I'd like to try it
