KTM 300 rekluse tuning

Hey guys

Building my first snowbike out of my 300 xcw .. already has a rekluse zstart pro in her so I'm gonna keep it !!

going to put in the red power valve spring in, and was thinking to go with high engagement spring to keep her in the power band the whole time

anyone got any recommendations with their z start pro on a smoker ?

I'm going to jet the keihin carb and wrap it up in a blanket and ride .. maybe do some engine mods later

I don't have any setups for in the snow for a zstart, I have been running EXP on dirt since beta testing and only on snow. But basically you want an early and hard engagement to get it locked out early. The extra drag of the track can cause heat issues if you go with a late engagement if you like to lug it at all.

hmmm interesting .. thats the opposite of what I was thinking ...

hard engagement for sure, but a late engagement to keep the two stroke in the power band

guess i can start in the middle and play around

That seems to be the logic but I think that transfers over from cvt tuning. With a gearbox your in a gear and going to stay there till you change it. To be rekluse operates more as an anti stall than to find traction. Don't get me wrong there awesome and I don't own a bike without one.

I called Rekluse and they got me dialed with my exp. they know guys are using them for snowbikes and have done testing with different springs, etc. They were super cool when I called them.
