Knocking coming from primary

What is the problem if the sled is idleing and every couple of seconds you hear a knocking noise coming from the primary clutch. If im on the pipe and clutch is engaged all is good and smooth. only at idle I get a weird knocking noise that I believe is coming from the primary clutch.

Could be worn buttons or loose jam nut. You need to confirm where it's coming from, not to scare you but if it's a Polaris 800, may be the crank. If it's more of a clicking noise then it's the reed and is normal.
