Just got this e-mail today. Anyone planning on going? I went to alot of the 1st ones, good info.
The DNR Management team for the Knik River Public Use Area (KRPUA) is holding Public Meetings to present and explain the regulations for the KRPUA. These regulations are actually already in effect, these meetings are just to make everyone aware of them.
All meetings start at 6:30 at these locations
Wednesday Feb 4th - Butte Elementary School in Butte
Thursday Feb 5th - Teeland Middle School in Wasilla
Friday Feb 6th - Wendler Middle School in Anchorage
These new regulations effectively replace the State's Generally Allowed Uses of State Land in defining what can and cannot be done in the KRPUA. If you use this area for any means of recreation you should plan on attending one of these meetings to see if and how the new rules will effect you.
