Have a knee i tore and Dr took out a chunk of cartilage that your knee rotates on and it kind of weak (knee injuries are not fun...)

Any good suggestions for braces? I know when i had my right one done had one of the Donjoy's. Good but i am guessing they are expensive to buy outright.

thanks

Asterix knee braces are the best. I ride with them all the time, have one reconstructed knee and one without an ACL, can't and won't ride with out them!!!!! they are expensive but are the most comforatable and smallest you can find, and they also stay in position.

i am 41 with a crunchy sounding knee... i am willing to cough up a pretty big pile of dough to be able to ride with confidence and being comfortable.

search online where to buy them or is there somewhere you recommmed?

thanks

Surgeon took out most of my Meniscus and cut out my ACL. He said no need for a brace, BS., I got and $1,100 Donjoy on Ebay for $87.50 and I couldn't ride without it. Although you are rolling the dice on the fit, I got lucky, fits great and for the price it was worth the gamble. It is best to have one fitted for you, but if you can win a bid (Ebay) for a quality brace not a bad way to go.

asterix knee braces

I bought mine through a motorcycle web site i think it was motorsport. there should be somewhere on line like that to buy them. If you call around to some ski shops they might have some to try on for fitting. but i would buy them on line. i think i paid $600.00 for them but worth every penny.

DonJoy is okay but I have a Seattle brace. I have had major knee surgery and after 7 years I still wear it if I know the riding is gonna hit the fan!

If you had surgery the doc should be able to write for a brace and you can have insurance take the hit.
