Kmod vs Racers Edge rear suspension

I cant speak for the Kmod, but I see no reason to look at anything but the Racers Edge. Daryl makes some sick stuff. If someone asked me to descibe it in one word, I'd say "quality".

at the end of the day darry's stuff probably cost more money than anything out there, but I won't run anything but racers edge in my sled. Great product, great guys to deal with. Havent' run kmod, heard decent stuff about it.

Kmod has been great for me. Got one on both my turbo yammis and you can set it to wheelie a little or the keep the skis planted at all times in seconds.

This year I bought the Racers Edge for My Apex and bought a K Mod for my M1000.
I have installed the Racers Edge and just waiting on the Kmod to arrive.

I am not sure if one is better than the other but have heard that they are both great products.
I can hardly wait to get either on the snow.

Between the two that you are showing (I'm partial to another brand) ... for my kind of riding... general boondocking, some fun climbing, (but not death defying chute climbing) deep pow days... I'd pick the K-mod over the M-10 Racers Edge.

The M-10 suspensions to me are not as playful... they keep the skis planted on a High HP climber for sure... but when you try to cross a creek bed or just want to have fun in the trees... the same thing that keeps the skis planted on the climb... keeps them "planted" when you might not want to have it this way.. the K-mod would be able to remove all coupling in this situation.

I'm also curious how Racers Edge got around the Patented design of Team Fast M-10?

i guess this could said to be true but ,it may look the same but does not ride the same.with the fully adjustable elka rear shock that is matched to your weight & the magnetic transfer blocks it does it all & if you want a bit more you can add the quick adjust limiter straps too they build great stuff & it works.with a quick block switch it will wheelie with the best then switch back to a big block & some click on the shock it will go strait up.never been on a m-10 that i liked other than on the trail or climbing but i love my baker skid:beer;

I have noticed that you have asked this question a couple of times and have yet to get a response.

It sure does look very very similar to an M-10 suspension...

I'm looking for a lightweight skid that I can quickly adjust between boondocking and climbing for one of my Nytros...

What do you think???

If it matters that much, give Baker a call and ask him.

If anyone wants to get an idea of what the Racer Edge suspension looks like, I have a few pics and prices on my web site.

yes it will work for it all for you,i have one on my nytro & have had the timbersled, m-10, holtz & stock over the years & this skid is the best i have ridden.if you get the magnetic blocks & quick adjust limiters with it i don't think you will find a skid that works better all around.

Here are a couple of pictures of my new Racers Edge skid.

I am pretty sure that the only simularities between the Fast M10 and the Racers Edge skid is that they both couple, one with a jack and the other with magnetic blocks.

I have a baker skid on my Tnytro 162 and LOVE IT! Keeps the skis down when I am climbing but then easily adjustable for when you want them to pop up a bit, seen people adjust their baker skids in minutes.I Honestly never touched my suspension once last year, and I ride all types (trees, climbs etc) must have found the sweet spot :)
