So I had a powercross jacket and freeride pants. Jacket was about 2 years old, pants were about 3 years old. Both were in really good condition, except they leaked.

I sent them to Klim to get tested, and a couple of weeks later I had new gear at my door, since it seems both pieces failed there tests.

So it seems their warranty is pretty dang good from my POV.

Just figured I would let you guys know...

sent them a 5 yr old pair last yr for repair, they also sent me a new pair, they even prepaid the shipping. excellent warranty

just sent in a 9 year old jacket and 7 year old pants, took about 2 week turn around time for all their testing but the box that came back w/ prepaid shipping had brand new free ride pants in it and a brand new jacket... klim warranty rocks

You must have worn the pants out sliding down that mountain face after your epic sled crash last spring? So that is considered normal use, good to know! :face-icon-small-hap

yeah I sent in my 15 y/o gear and they tested it and sent me brand new free ride pants and a brand new jacket

I had very similar results, there is a very specific reason why all of my gear is Klim, great stuff and the!

Do you guys feel bad sending in 5+ year old gear and expecting them to warranty it? I have a set of bibs that are around ten years old and not sure I would feel right sending them in and getting brand new bibs for free. They have served me well and you can't expect any piece of clothing to last forever. For what they charge though, maybe one free set is reasonable.

Yes, though I told them I would pay to get them fixed or whatever, because I liked the gear. I wasn't expecting them to warranty it though, just trying to see if there was something that they or I could do to get my jacket and pants working again.

I will never buy their gear again. I had a pair of pants that the stiching came apart and they said the life of the product was over. I have been sleddin for over thirty years and have just as good luck with other gear and paid half as much.

Same here on a pair of bibs, leaking in the seat, sent them in and recieved a new pair.

klim

They make great gear probably the best on the market . My wife runs all klim gear I really need to buy a full set this year, but i can't bring myself to buy klim and this is why . Thecompany is based out of Rigby ,Id yet all of the boxes of klim gear come in boxes marked made in China . What they charge for thier gear is alot for a product made in China. I would have no problem paying their price if it was made in the USA or Canada. Someone please tell me if I am looking at this the wrong way or give me a different view. I am not mad nor am i trying to bash klim, I wish them all the best . But for a northwest based company to charge a made in the USA price for a product made in China while thier neighbors are going jobless here at home, it is hard for me to do . Like i said i would love to run their gear. It is good stuff but i just can't do it . Please if anyone can tell me that I am off base on this, tell me, but post why .

Bighair you are a real dandy! I bought a pair of these klim pants in 2008 and my *** has been soaked on all but two rides (no I am not a female) a friend of mine keeps telling me to send them back but I am of the thinking that I will just pay shipping to get another set of junk.
