Klim Warranty !!!!

I have bibs that are some of the originals, has the Made in USA tag on the front. A seam in the seat split apart and needed to be sewn up. I called Klim to see if they could fix them and how much it would cost. The woman I spoke to asked about the split, if there were any tears, rips ect. Then she told me that it could be fixed under warranty.

With bibs that are 6 or 7 years old I never expected that. My bibs are still in great shape as the only time I use them is for riding. I don't wear them when woking on the sled or shoveling snow. As much as they cost I wanted them to last.

Today I received the bibs back and the repair looks great. 2 week turn time.

Every once in a while I take a cheap shot at Klim for moving manufacturing to China but the warranty I have no complaints about.

I have a pair of Adrenaline boots, the model before what the currently have. They started to dig into the insides of my ankles. I wrote to Klim about the problem. They suggested adding a sole to the inside to raise the foot in the boot. I took the advise and did so. This made no difference. I wrote back to them, they stated, " The boots are warranted to keep your feet dry for the life of the boot, not your life." The boots are in their 3rd season, total of 30 days I have wore the boots. :face-icon-small-dis

i'm glad to hear they took care of you.:D my concearn is how the woman asked if there were any tears or rips??? if they had a tear or rip nowhere near the seam that came apart would they still warranty it?:face-icon-small-con sound to me like they are just looking for a way out. i have all klim gear and haven't tried to warranty anything(mostley because of the stories i've read on hear about claim denials). i try to take good care of my gear but things do happen, trees, broke sleds,damn exhaust pipes burning the knees of my 1day old $350 bibs:face-icon-small-dis. just not sure why a burn hole in the right knee would effect a seem on the left leg,etc?? again i'm glad they took care of it for you and do really like there gear and will buy more.

Let me get this straight. If you burn a hole in the right knee of your bibs and then have a seam come apart on the left knee you want Klim to send you a new pair of bibs. If so, your expectations are not realistic. Once you burn a hole anywhere in the bibs the life expectancy is over and any warranty should be void. If the product fails after the warranty is void Klim owes you nothing, nor should they offer to do anything for you.

I agree that them giving the guy a new set of bibs is not owed to him under warranty, but if I burn a hole in a brand new set of bibs, I am still going to use them. Since I am still going to use them, yes, I do expect them to warranty a faulty seam on new or newer bibs.

I'll give you one better, if I have 2 1/4" cuts on my knees that don't affect wearing my bibs and the zipper fails to where I can't use them, yes, I will expect them to replace the zipper under warranty.

i never said i would want a new pair of bibs! but if a seam on the left leg was faulty, what the hell does a burn about the size of a quarter in the right knee have to do with voiding a warranty? they should fix the faulty seam and send them back.

I just got my bibs back from Klim. I am very happy with the zipper repair. This was the only repair I had requested. The inner fabric had frayed prematurely and they repaired that as well. Thank you, Klim.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!:present::present::present:

Clearly, klim has changed their zipper repair policy. Since MF came out last year, the reviews for klim's warranty have done a 180.

I sent in a pair of tog bibs and gloves that came apart. Both had plenty of wear, but the zippers on the bibs had fell apart. I was denied due to a rip in the seat of the pants, thanks Eva!.

Problem solved, I no longer spend ANY money on klim. My gear budget runs $800-1200 per year, so that adds up. Their motocross pants are no different, butt seam fell apart after 4-5 washing.

I have a pair of mens small tog bibs w/ the tags on them, never worn EVER for sale if interested. Afraid to let my wife wear them, for fear of voiding the pathetic warranty...so they are for sale. MSRP 379.00 make an offer...
