hey guys, just curious, ive got all klim outerlayer, but i just wear sweat pants under my bibs, they seem to soak up water from my boot area, would klim midlayer pants still do this?

I don't use any mid layer, just underarmor base layer unless it's going to be below 0 all day.

I too have all klim outerwear, and also use an ua baselayer. For a midlayer I typically use the inferno top and ua sweatpants over my base layer and just tuck the bottom of my sweats loosely into my boots and with the togwottee bibs that have the elastic at the bottom ive never gotten wet.

I wear Cabela's silk weight long underwear and Cabela's Polartec 200 pants (they have handy front pockets for keys, wallet, etc). I stay dry and they cost MUCH less than UA and Klim gear with the same performance for under and mid layers.

I also use Cabela's polartech fleece pants under my Klim freeride pants for snowmobile patrol. They are extreemely comfortable, dry and the large pockets are useful for carrying extra stuff. I add underarmor when it is below 10 degrees.

I was always told the worst thing you can wear is cotton products....they will absorb the moisture eventually making you cold because you are wet. Most of the others will wick the moisture out.

X2 800poodragon,,,cotton big no no,,used to know guys that would wear jeans under their bibs and didn't get why they were wet and cold. And if you end up spending a night out,,,not good. I like to layer and then Klim shells, or if its warm just the shell does great.
