Klim helmet and the wind stopper

I just bought a Klim helmet and it comes with a wind stopper. Do I need to install this?

I do wear a balaclava.

Prolly not. Maybe for a ride where you will be on the trail awhile and it’s below 0. I’ve never installed mine.

Only significant time on the trail is the trip in to the powder so will leave out - thanks.

Take it with u. Try it without and with.
Easy to swap.

I installed mine and I wear a balaclava as well. The vents are pretty big and I found that my bald head would get cold without it.

I keep mine in, I don't get too warm. I don't wear a balaclava when it warm though. Sometimes I wear a thin skull cap. I've tried it without and didn't like it.

I leave mine out. Personally I feel to claustrophobic when I have it installed. Never have had any issues getting cold. On the other and my husband has his in his helmet all the time.
