All right guys I know this has most likely been posted but I need gear what do you ride and why. Everyone in utah seems to ride klim but I like the look of the some of the others. your in put right now I ride Columbia and umm it wasn't made for snowmobiling.

Well almost everything I ride in is Klim. I've tried a few of the others as well, but I have never had it stand up as well as the Klim gear. Since I started wearing Klim I never get wet. Also it's light, but yet warm. Hope this helps.

It does one of my big problems is right now is the inside of my outer-layer gets soaked so I can't ever pull the liner out if it gets hot

That sounds familiar, I had some old AC bibs that were very warm and I always sweated in them, which in turn made me soaking wet! Not a fun experience.

I have a full Castle out fit, Jacket and pants, And just love it. Very nice strongly built gear. I removed my jacket liner when I bought it, and only put it back in once to ride when it was -30 C. Very warm gear. If you start to sweat, just open the vents and boom you can feel the air flowing though. Very happy with my Castle stuff.

i've tried slednecks, hmk, and klim and klim was hands down the best.. that is what i currently use for pants. their free ride pants work great keep me warm and dry day in and day out. as for the jacket i used a vertical industries light weight riding jacket last year and it worked great! it's a little thinner than most so if your an active rider it will work just fine, but it wont keep you warm if your not active all the time. it works great for me though, keeps me from sweating all day long and i just wear a t-shirt under it. the link to their website is in my signature if anyone is interested.

Anyone have a problem with turning your head that's my problem with ski coats is when I turn to look up a hill to scope the run I cant get my head around cause it hits the neck of the jacket????

Another Klim fan here! :D Yes that is why we sell it. I've tried a lot of different brands over the years. Most hold up fine and are plenty warm. None were what I would ever call waterproof and breathable. For my needs Klim has been by far the best. As in there is no comparison.
You are going to get a lot of different opinions on here. Depending on your needs you may or may not find options from each brand. In the end it just has to work for you.
Some of the other companies price points are at or even higher than Klim these days. And that makes it really hard to swallow when no one else is using Gore-Tex. Hope that helps and happy shopping.

I vote Klim, best gear I've had, warm, light, breathable, and stay warm all day long. ;)

Well if your part of bobscycle I'll take your word I have bought thousands of stuff from them while racing moto,

Yes monte works at bob's! Another Klim fan, the choice is simple, looks over function, Just as kinzer i have tried 90% of other gear, while most look flashy and hip, i was soaked by noon. With Klim dry all day! Simple black now and dry now works best for me!

I wear KLIM from head to toe. Helmet and boots included. It is by far the best gear on the market, and I will never own anything else.

Klim. It maybe more expensive but it will last. I have some Klim gear that is going on 7 years and it still keeps me bone dry.

Spend the $$ on the Klim Jacket & pants and save some on off brand mid & base layers. Anything but cotton underneath. Fleece is good with wool on your feet.
