Question guys I have one of the orginal BoonDocker Nitrous kits, I had it on my mod 900 1M for several years but the last year I ran it it work fine in the shop but in the field it only worked part time, I have cleaned the fiter in the solenoid, I installed it on my Kingcat I bought late last year this week, works great in shop but when I rode it yesterday nothing under a load, I am running a after market mesh hood with no headlight, I no the the Polaris you need it for the voltage to run the solenoid,my question is do I need to run a headlight for this system to work right?, I have the bottle mounted a 1/4 inch from pipe, so I think it is warm enough and not iceing up, any thoughts would be apppreciated. Any Ideas

Any one have any ideas, I am thinking about drilling out my highrise on the forward mounted steering post and putting a a small headlight, I sent a email to BoonDocker this morning but no response yet MADDOGWFO:face-icon-small-con

Toss the boondocker and call boss !!
No heaters no goofy wiring. Super simple, super clean and SUPER effective !!! 60hp light switch !!!

I have a big capacitor that I wired into the system for this issue. Let me know if you want more details on it.

The boondocker system works perfect with the synergy regulator. No need for a bottle heater etc.

Thanks Guys for Imput

Perk could you please email at hymarkwfo@yahoo.com with more information on what you did and thanks meat for the ebay kit, anyone no who it is made buy, I really donnot want to spend another $800.00 on a BOSS setup, hopefully I can get this figured out MADDOGWFO

the ebay kit is a nitrous express wet kit....made by nitrous express....got all you need for a wet kit with 40hp jets. you can go bigger if you want but i found that 40hp at the push of the button was plenty to get me where i shouldnt be. It's my kit on ebay and it worked very well....took it off because i went with a ported big bore and WOW nothing like having twice the power all the time...in fact i know where you can find a ported BB about the same set up as mine for less than the port job would cost...if you are interested in the top end shoot me a PM....I will say that a wet kit is much safer than a dry kit

Nos

You need lights or a regulator. Put an after market hood on mine and nos would only work at idle. At high rpm the extra voltage goes out the ground wire. Put alight on it, it will work fine . Boondocker is a pretty simple system mine works great. You don't need heaters or anything. Why spend extra cash when you all ready have a good system

Goofy wiring? Hooking 2 wires to power oh SO goofy. Put injecter under tool box lid out of site. Doesn't get any cleaner then that.

Thanks M9M5

Quick question would a small aftermarket hologen light make enough voltage to make the system work, MADDOGWFO

The system I saw must have been older or setup by a idiot then.

Headlight Worked

Well Boys the headlight did it's job of making enough voltage to run Boondockers set up to work, every time I hit the HAPPY BUTTON it worked and brought a smile to MADDOGS face, I love this KingCat and with the new Power Claw it climbs awesome:rockon:

Sorry for not replying to your email with the details on my capacitor setup. I almost never get on Snowest anymore. I do get on B C R several times a week. Something about paying money to someone else so they can profit from me helping my fellow riders out just doesn't sit well with me.

anyway, glad you got it figured out. The problem with not running a headlight is that the system needs some load or the voltage regulator starts limiting a lot more at anything above 5000 rpm, so much that it won't kick your solenoid. Sometimes if you put your hand warmers on high and your thumb warmer on you can get away without running a headlight.

Thanks Perk

Thank you for more imput and getting back to me, I am just happy it is working well , Have a great riding season MADDOGWFO
