King Quad aftermarket rims question

Hey guys,
I am looking at some Maxxis Max Lite rims for my quad online, and the ones I found advertise that they are for the rear and they are "+15". What does the +15 mean?

Some of the rims I have looked at on-line state they are for the front and then the same rim is advertised for the rear. The rims specs. look the same so I wonder if they can be used front or rear? If that is the case, can the Maxxis rims be used front and rear, even though the ad for them states they are a rear tire?

Any help would be appreciated.:beer;

The +15 is the rim offset from factory. Normally outer offset. I am a little confused it the offset is 15 milimeters or 1.5 inch offset ?

If they are offset, listed for the rear, a clearance issue may exist when turning for the tire rubbing on a fender, footwell or fender support with larger than stock lugged tires mounted on them

Thanks Gimpster.:beer;

One other question, can someone explain to this dumbass (me), what the following describes front= 25x8-12 and rear = 25x10-12.

I am guessing that the 25 is the tire height, the 8 and the 10 is the rim width, but that leaves me with the 12 that I can't figure out.

I agree. There must be something with fender clearance.
