king cat wiring diagram

my handwarmers could not work any worse. I would like to scope out a schematic if anyone has one.

can someone tell me what kind of voltage values they see at idle to the haldle bars.

thanks so verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry much. sorry for the typo, my hands are still cold;)

Factory warmers do not work, thats a well documented fact. Get a set of after-market 3 wire warmers and splice them into your old lines above the plug. I've used Moose and RSI, both work very well. There are a couple other brands than I am sure would work well. Just be sure to get the 3 wire ones so you can still have hi/lo on the factory switch.

can you just get the 05 m7 hand warmers? my wifes m get so hot i can only run them on low?

0609-722 this is the part number for the R side, its a wrap with the same plug as the KK, I think its 32 W but not sure. Nice and warm

knockin the dust off this thread

my tach doesnt work. i've plugged the tach straight to the wiring harness in the front of the sled, i've tried a different tach. I tested the plug and all seems to be well....so i'm thinkin about clipping off the plug and using just the wires i need, if i can get rid of some of the mess id sure make things a lot easier...thanks guys

Your tach doesnt work on what sled? 1m 900? Check your voltage regulator, it has most likely gone bad. Also find the rubbed trough wire that grounded out and caused your voltage regulator to go bad. I would start by looking under the oil tank.

what the he!! does this have to do with hand warmers?

if your tack doesn't work do you have headlights?

absolutely nothing, however i did a search and this thread was the closest i could come up with....figured i'd bring it back to the top to keep the whining down from the do a search nazis...didnt know i would have to deal with the 'what does this have to do with hand warmer nazi :beer;....ya rixster its on my 04 king cat carb....no rubbed through wires, will check regulator and not using headlights either.... i am using a different wiring harness that i got from (clears throat) the handwarmer nazi and never had a pproblem until now...so i figured screw it i can strip the harness down to the bare minimum of what i need to run the sled. thanks guys

easy there pilgrim!
did you put in the forward mount post?
I have a v regulator if you need one
the only other thing would be as rixster mentions was a short ....hand warmer...rubbed wire ect...

i was messin with ya bud...ya i put that forward mount on and could not even began to explain how much it has helped steering that pig....hell the old man picked up an 09 M8 and i'll bet you mine is just as easy to handle and feels just as light in the front end as that M8. I think the torque has a lot to do with it as though too.

sure i'll take it, just to be on the safe side PM me what you want for it....as for the short, thats the only reason i'm looking for a diagram....check it all and strip what i can out.....i checked out the wiring harness from you and it was good, nothing rubbed through...so I'm leaning on my voltage reg
