KING CAT SPEEDO CABLE

If it has the speedo drive its in the left side belly pan on the side of the tunnel where the track driveshaft is located.

It is right under the driven clutch. will either be a bearing or a angle drive where the cable hooks. Also, make sure to grease this often during the year. and the bearing right behind the driven clutch on the jack shaft. If the angle drive isnt there your local dealer should have one they SHOULD just give you.

I actually have a question related to this cable as well. I moved my tach over and took out the speedo recently. I left the cable attached down at the drive shaft under the drive clutch and just unhooked it up at the speedometer guage.

Will this hurt anything? Or do I need to disconnect it down at the bottom?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It won't hurt anything to leave it hooked up, but it's not necessary if you're not going to use it. That's a whole ½ lb or so you can save :face-icon-small-coo

good point IdCatMan. I am a weight savings junkie, and especially like the idea of savings up in the front end of these things. I will likely take it out altogether although I have a bunch of other wires zip tied to this cable since it is so rigid.

I JUST BOUGHT A 06' KING CAT AND THE SPEEDO CABLE IS NOT HOOKED UP I AM NEW TO SNOWMOBILING WHERE DOES THE BOTTOM END OF THE CABLE HOOK INTO?

not many 06 king cats for sale i notice. lots of 04-05 MC's and kings but rare to see 06 king cats for sale in snowest. i would probably buy one if could find great condition/low mileage 06 king
