Has anyone been around or had any ride time with the Ripper that timbersled makes for the 110 cc bikes. Do they get around alright in the mountains? If they work well I think they would be a great way to get the kids out in the backcountry, sleds don't offer a good in between class. Thanks for any input.

From what I hear they r not a mtn ride. I would love to get my daughter one, but starting to lean toward the new snow sport 200 from yamacat. We already have ttr 110 and I know there would be conditions where the ripper would be a ton of fun, but I think the sno sport would be more versatile.

That's what I was worried about. I set up a KTM 350 this year with the ST hoping it would work for my wife. It is a fun set up and gets around good for smaller people, unfortunately it is still too tall for my wife, if it starts to tip when she is going slow she struggles. It would be great if there was a shorter version.

We had a Ripper to play with this winter. It's pretty much a yard toy unfortunately. The issue isn't lack of power, but lack of traction. The 110 could spin the crap out of the track, but that's all it would do. Spin. It really needs some taller lugs to move.

I completely agree that there needs to be something we could bolt to a 150R.

I've wondered how a KTM Freeride would be as a snowbike for a smaller rider. They are 203 lbs dry including e start, close ratio 6 speed where 6th is OD, 250 cc 2 stroke. I've never ridden one but they look kind of fun. With a 120 inch Yeti you would be way under 300 lbs.

If they were tall and skinny, it could be OK. Otherwise, it's still too tall for shorter people.

The freeride is trials bike powerband.
No powervalve.
All low and mid.
Low max rpm.

Pretty much the opposite of what you want in a Snowbike. :)

CMX has one in their shop. Call Mark and ask about it.

CMX

Call CMX they have a 250 free ride with a 120 kit. Several inches shorter than a full size bike. The front spindle is also shortened. Very cool build and very practical, for a lighter or shorter rider. The 150r Honda is an obvious next step. Let's get the kids involved.

I've got a mototrax 120 kit on a 150r for the 11 year old. As far as I know, they made 5 of these fit kits or so. It has been perfect for the kid, and he has been places that I never would have thought possible. I know mototrax has taken a beating here on the forum, but, this kit has been amazing on the 150
