Kick A$$ air filters and twin pipes on 700

Hey guys i have a 2001 rmk 700 144 that i use for a back up sled. Right now I have a boss seat, RSI riser and full setup, low windshield, and couple other small things.

But I am looking to do some kick *** air filters and I have know idea what size I need and if i need to change my jets. If anybody has some let me know.

I am also looking to do a set of twin pipes. I have heard CPI twim pipes have the biggest gain and are the lightest I feal that doing this will really wake the sled up.

keep the airbox with the slp airbox mod if you ride powder or any kind of conditions in which you keep the hood on because the warm air draw will make your 700 feel like a 600. Also the Kick Azz air pods are a tight fit with the Gen II steering post.

Dont know about the CPI 700 twins. My personal favorite are the SLP twins. Get them ceramic coated and dont drill them for EGT's and you'll love them.

Throw on some SLP Powde Pros and toss in an 800 if the 700 goes down and upgrade to the Team clutch and gear 'er down a bit and your backup sled may become your primary sled.

Gen II......GREAT MACHINE!!

I don't know why you have a backup sled, but the reason I do is because when my main one goes down or something breaks. Therefore I want my backup sled to be stock and know I don't have to screw with anything and it will run fine. I suggest leaving it stock.

Yeah, a modsled as a backup to a modsled.

As GHF said about the powder issue. Don't take out the airbox unless mandatory.
I'd say keep the airbox. Especially if you do twins, since they create more engine heat under the hood.

700

I had a 700 just like yours with cpi twins, dual stingers, high compression slp heads. not a set of twins that dump into one can like SLP ! the cpi pipes rocked ! and sounded awesome ! also had a team secondary and clutched it to 8200 rms 18/41 gearing. great power for a 700. beet alot of 800 with it. that 700 will last forever if you jet it ryte, had 7000 miles on mine not a problem. and i also added a little premix of oil in the gas tank 2 make sure the crank was getting enuff lube for the high rpms !
