Kevlar Fabric Snow Cover

Has anyone tried using this Kevlar fabric they have for sale? It looks pretty cheap and you could punch a hole through it and run one of those loop end bungees through much like the PST Engine Jacket. Just been looking at other options as I'm already spending more than I wanted on the add ons and I haven't even rode this year ha. This seemed cheap and easy to try.

It doesn't have a heat rating. I have a buddy that made his out of welding blanket fabric. It was good to something like 1200 degrees. He dyed it black, it looks good and can hold up to the exhaust pipe heat. I'd say it would be better than this fabric.

sweet idea

think i'll give it a go

my pipe has a heat guard on it anyway .. i'd like to build something to surround the pipe and keep the heat inside

get one of those grommet punch thingies and you are in business

I'm sure the PST one is very nice but I have a feeling this is close to the material he uses. I've never seen one of those grommet punches maybe I'll try and find one. You could been into one of these for less than 50 bucks I bet.

yeah I already bought the fabric

those grommet punches can be bought for cheap from princess auto (or harbor freight if you are the american type ;) )

I'll post pics once I put my mad skills to work

Sweet man! I think I'm going to pull the trigger on some of the fabric too. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
