I work at a shop in glenwood springs, co (see sig line below). Im seein how much business is going to the net and mail order. and I figure I would let everyone know that we do match internet pricing (to the best of our ability because we all know some prices are hard to beat!). just bring in a printed quote and we will see what we can do. we do not charge shipping (for customer pick up but $10-15 will get most stuff anywhere in state) for any special orders, just tax.

also any emergency personal(police,fire,etc) get 10% off all purchases.

no one stock every line so people have to order mail order
it's to bad that it costs so much to stock the parts that the giant dealers out of state (next to the manufacture's) can stock

Well it all goes back to, if it's stocked and someone needs it "right now" they will typically pay WAY more then what the item is worth. Unfortunatly most dealerships are based around this same system.

I found it cheaper to box up my case/crank and send it to Pennslyvania, paying shipping both directions, rather to have my crank re-indexed here in Colorado....and it wasn't just like $20 cheaper, we're talking a hundred dollars.....

Seriously....with that type of pricing scheme it's not looking good for a lot of local shops. Hopefully Gabe's shop is different, it looks like he is atleast trying to match online.

you do have a point.. but our pricing is suggested retail.. sometimes less and never higher... if someone shows a printed online price we match it, sometimes that isnt possible but will will do anything we can to make it right! a good deal is a good deal but we cant win them all..

even work with you if your in a bind.. I dont think it is right to take advantage of someone in a bind.. even if they will break something tomaro but need the parts yesterday..Ive even gone out of my way to hand deliver parts when needed..

I have walked into shops that charge more then retail on stuff.. but Im an avid snowmobiler/dirt biker/4 wheeler/etc and I look at want I want out of a shop and relay that to our customers.. I know the owner of Hi Point feels the same way!
