Keep blowing 7.5 amp fuse.

So my dad rode my 2012 Artic Cat m800 recently and on our way back home the sled went into limp mode and the gauge went out. Found the 7.5amp fuse was blown. Put a new fuse in and it blew again pretty fast. Im guessing there is a short in the wiring somewhere. I also realized that before he rode it I had forgot to change over my 65g clutch weights to the 75g weights because I just got back from a trip to Wyoming and where I live it is 1,300ft of elevation. He said he was not riding fast but is there a rev limiter or could he have be over working the engine? Idk if the 7.5 amp fuse blowing has anything to do with that. I was on my polaris riding with him and he was not going fast but now i am scared that possibly the engine was getting over worked and caused the fuse to blow or its just a wire that is shorted out to the metal frame?

First step would be Ohm it out for a short to ground.

If shorted try to trace it to your taillight (possible worn wire under tank).

If I recall correctly that fuse also controls your power valve servo. Which would explain the low power.
