Just Picked up a new sled

New here, Looking for some info. I just bought a 2006 Adrenaline last night with a blown motor. It has a hole in the upper case, Cylinder is scared up, piston is in peices. So I think my best bet is to get a complete motor. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So what am I looking for? The motor is a 800HO. What years will fit and what years do I stay away from? What are diff, between a 800 and a 800HO?

Thanks for all the help in advance.

you are looking for 06. first year of the power tech. 05 was last year of the ho.,,, and 07 is the powertech 800r. cases can be repaired if the damage is not to bad. but new motor from doo is about 2k

powerteck

06 was a H.O. powerteck. Had some features that the 05 did not, sensors and such. I don't know exactly what were though.

So can I take a motor from any 800ho or powertech and bolt it in? As long as I use all me sensors and harness what would be the diff? A buddy told me I could put my 02 800 in it. What is the real difference between all of these? Cases look to be the same part number.

I guess I'm still confused on what to look for. If I'm reusing all of my electrical what long or short block will I need?

Thanks for all the help.

PowerTek had electronic power valves. The shortblock is the same for multiple years. 2003-2007. It is a HO, don't let that confuse you. And PowerTek is more in reference to the RAVE.

I think 04-06 would be what you are looking for in the HO motors I think 03 HO or non HO in that year, but 04 to 06 x models definetly had the HO motor I`m pretty sure.

Good Luck. theres numbers or identification on the motor itself that would identify whether its an HO or not, others I`m sure could chime in and help on this issue more not sure my self where they are or what the should read.

Good Luck. Wildcard

Believe it, 03-07 HO motors. Not just "summit" motors, but ALL HO motors.

Yes the motors are all the same just the accesorreis are what makes them different.
I actually was going to put my 2000 700 motor in my old rev but never got to it. the motor mount holes in the bottom are all the same 6-7-8 hundo zx or rev, 2000- 06 and i even think they are the same for the 07s and up but hat would require harness swap too

I found an 05 motor for my 06 bolted it in and fired it up on the 2nd pull.

the non ho 800 just has different poting in it.
If you decide to rebuild yours I have a set of steel sleeved 800 ho slp ported cylinder I will sell for cheap, and wiesco make three piston sizes for reborability.

Good luck.
